Overall, the entire company history of Aljo has developed like every single one of its products: in a direct, logical and constantly growing manner. This has applied since its founding by Mr Gerhard Jonuscheit in 1970. Important steps for Aljo included:
1971 | The first major contract: the aluminium bodywork for a 25-metre motorised yacht. |
1975 | Bodywork and ship equipment for three large marine rescue cruisers. |
1976 | ERNO Raumfahrttechnik contracts the manufacturing of engineering models for the Spacelab mission. |
1978 | Marine contract: Bodywork and equipment for type F 122 German frigates. |
1979 | Manufacturing of space equipment for the German Spacelab mission. |
1983 | New development of helicopter hangar gates for naval vessels. |
1989 | Founding of the system equipment department: Development of a unique aluminium profile system for rail and watercraft. |
1990 | Start of manufacturing 80 sets of structures for the second stage of "Ariane 4 European missile". |
1994 | Meyer-Werft contract: Equipment for three cruise liners each with an 850-man crew. |
1997 | Airbus contract: Equipment for wing flap panellings, so called flap track fairings; for more than 600 Airbus A 330/340 aircraft. |
1998 | Spaceshuttle USA: Aljo manufactures a special payload bay reinforcement ("keel yoke") for a usage platform. |
1999 | Generation change: Ulf Jonuscheit takes over management. |
2004 | VW contract: Aljo exclusively develops and produces equipment for the T5 California campervan. |
2004 | Nomination of Wolfgang Stegelmann as additional general manager. |
2005 | Construction and manufacturing of a 22-m-long telescope hangar for the Korean coast surveillance. |
